STATEMENT OF POLICY FOR PROTECTION

Raleigh Road United Church seeks to promote policies to ensure that people of all ages are safeguarded, serving their needs and taking seriously the welfare of all who come onto its premises or who are involved in its day to day activities.

Raleigh Road United Church aims to ensure that they are welcomed into a safe, caring, Christian environment with a happy and friendly atmosphere.

It is the responsibility of Raleigh Road United Church to protect children, young people and vulnerable adults from harm, including physical, sexual and emotional abuse and neglect, and to affirm, encourage and support those working with them.

It is the responsibility of Raleigh Road United Church to report any abuse discovered or suspected.

Raleigh Road United Church recognises its responsibility to implement, maintain and regularly review procedures which are designed to prevent and to be alert to such abuse.

Raleigh Road United Church is committed to supporting, resourcing, training and providing supervision of those within the fellowship who work with young people, children and vulnerable adults.

It is the responsibility of all other organisations/groups who use the premises to observe the UK regulations on safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults.

Raleigh Road United Church is committed to maintaining good links with the statutory child care authorities.
