We had a special programme of events over the last few weeks:
Sunday September 14th we celebrated our 30th anniversary since coming together as one Raleigh Road United Church from the two churches of Kew Methodist and St Paul’s URC.
Sunday September 28th was our Harvest Festival Service with Harvest Gifts being donated to the Richmond Foodbank. The CEO of the foodbank addressed the congregation during the service.

Sunday October 5th we held our second Pet Service, when several dogs and a cat along with photos of pets were brought to the service. The congregation were addressed by a representative from the Brooke Action for Working Horses and Donkeys and the collection was donated to the charity.
Saturday October 11th was the date of our Barn Dance to celebrate both the 30th Anniversary and Harvest. Doors opened at 7pm with dancing to The Jigalots, and the serving of light refreshments.
Babies and Toddlers
See our Young People page for details of our Babies and Toddlers Group.
Babies and Toddlers is held every Monday from 9.30 except Bank Holidays. It’s a great place to make new friends for both the toddlers and their carers, in a comfortable and relaxing environment. All are very welcome.
Monthly Morning Chat
Usually on the Third Thursday of every Month we are hosting a drop-in chat morning in our small hall from 10.30 to 12 noon or, weather permitting, in our outside space.
Our October meeting together will take place on October 16th, followed by November 20th. The December meeting will take place one week earlier on December 11th.
Please feel free to drop in at any point throughout the morning and share in a chat as well as pick up a book from our bring/borrow/buy bookstall. All are very welcome.
Exploring Our Faith will begin on Tuesday 16th September from 2pm -3pm at the manse. We are using the Methodist Prayer Handbook “Our Story Our Song”, it’s prayers and its daily reading themes. Information from Deacon Richard.
PLEASE NOTE:
From September 2025 the weekly Sunday services at Raleigh Road United Church will commence at 11.00am.
However: Remembrance Sunday on November 9th will commence at 10.50
We celebrate Holy Communion once a month. Join us for tea and coffee after the service each week, served at the back of the church
The services will be recorded should you prefer to join us from a distance.
Either way, you are very welcome!
